KKR vs RR Head to Head

Kolkata Knight Riders vs Rajasthan Royals Head To Head Records Preview:

KKR vs RR Head-to-Head 2022: Very little has gone right for Kolkata Knight Riders this season. The fallacies of the IPL Mega auction have caught up with them. Their decision-making appears cluttered. KKR’s team combinations have also failed to make sense in a few games. They have dropped a player from Pat Cummins’ class. RR on the other hand has had smooth sailing this season. They have been a constant presence in the top half of the table.

Current Form: Kolkata Knight Riders

Shreyas Iyer-led KKR started the season on an impressive note. Fans and experts touted them to be one of the favorites early season. They won 3 out of their first four games. KKR seemed to be doing no wrong. But since then it has pretty much been downhill for Kolkata. They have lost 5 games in a row. KKR has not stuck to a stable XI.

They have self-admittedly kept chopping and changing. A player of Pat Cummins’ class has been left out from the side. KKR is languishing at the bottom half of the table with 3 wins from 9 games. Their campaign seems all but derailed. It will need something special from Kolkata to stage a turnaround from hereon.

Current Form: Rajasthan Royals

The fortunes of the Rajasthan Royals have been quite the opposite. They have 6 wins from 9 games. RR is the only side to have won all their games batting first. The big-ticket players have clicked big time for RR. Jos Buttler leads the orange cap race with 566 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal leads the bowling charts with the most number of wickets (19).

They have dropped an odd game so far but they have looked dominant in most of their wins. RR’s weakness is their batting depth. There aren’t readymade solutions to this problem for them. This is one area they may get hurt later in the tournament too.

KKR vs RR: Head to Head stats

  • Both sides have played 26 IPL games against each other.
  • KKR has won 13 games. RR has won 12 matches.1 game did not produce a result.
  • KKR’s highest score against RR is 210. RR’s highest score against RR is 217.
  • KKR’s lowest score against RR is 125. RR’s lowest score against RR is 81.

The stakes:

It is imperative for KKR to start winning. The two-time IPL winners look lost in the field. They need inspiration from someone. It might be time their captain puts in something special. RR on the other hand will look to get back to winning ways.
