KKR Skipper Shreyas Iyer
In a recent interview, the new KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer has made a big promise to all the fans and very confidently said – ‘We will win the championship’. Earlier KKR management has officially named Shreyas Iyer as their official skipper for IPL 2022. He is currently in great with three consecutive fifties in the recent T20 series against Sri Lanka.
After these big statements from Iyer, Many critics and cricket experts felt he is overconfident and few of them feel he is not. Well, let’s look at what exactly Shreyas Iyer has said about his new role as KKR skipper.
Speaking about the new opportunity Shreyas said – “I am really looking forward to being on the ground, this time representing KKR because I have always been on the opposite end and I could feel the crowd cheering for their team. This time, when I would represent you guys I hope that you guys are in the stadium and cheer for us. I am really looking forward to that excitement and see to it at the end of the day that we win the championship,”
He has made a big promise to all the KKR fans and said – “We will win the Championship”
He has further added about how he can help the KKR side and said – “I am a players’ captain and I want to create and I want to create an atmosphere where all of us think towards one goal, which is winning. Coming to KKR, I would obviously have a different mindset. I am more mature and experienced in terms of decision-making and captaincy skills. So, really waiting eagerly to work with every individual in the team and build that synergy that could really help the team perform at a different level,”
Shreyas Iyer has expressed how he felt while looking at the auctions and he was all excited and proud to be a part of KKR.
Iyer said – “I was watching the auction and KKR went for me from the start. There were other big franchises as well coming along and the battle was going on. All of our team members were sitting together and watching the auction. My heart was pumping and I was not able to control my emotions. I am really proud that KKR got me,”
KKR has made the most expensive buy-in IPL 2022 Auctions in the form of Shreyas Iyer – where he has got a whopping price tag of Rs 12.25 Cr.
Shreyas Iyer has further said – “I am extremely honored to have gotten the opportunity to lead a prestigious team like KKR. The IPL as a tournament brings the best players from different countries and cultures together. I look forward to leading this great group of very talented individuals,”
