During the post-match presentation, Kieron Pollard said – “Always a fear when you are playing against these guys (India). We knew it would be a little tough. We were very well prepared. Under pressure, we executed all our plans. It was very critical given the point of time. Experience plays a part. He (Bhuvi) was hitting those yorkers and that odd bouncer. We believe in his talent. It was a very important inning from Virat. The way he started off, took the pressure off me as well.”

India had a slow start to their batting innings but with the help of Pant and V Iyer’s partnership, Team India was able to post such a challenging total on the board. This young talent in the Indian camp looked promising and the future looks good for them.

Speaking about the young talent, Pollard said – “We didn’t start well in the first two overs, then he came in and started playing those shots which were very pleasing to the eye. Great finish from Pant and Iyer as well. Very happy to see how he (Venkatesh Iyer) has progressed. To see such maturity is very pleasing. He backs his skills and that is what every captain wants. In the end, he wanted to bowl one over as well. We need such characters in our team.”

From the West Indies Camp, Rovman Powell played a responsible inning of 68 in just 36 balls but unfortunately couldn’t help the side to cross the line with a victory.

At last, he has revealed the reason and said – “We were a bit sloppy on the field. A little disappointed with that. The game would have been different had we taken those catches.”
