India A team pace bowler Khaleel Ahmed got injured in the first Unofficial ODI match against New Zealand A.

He bowled well in the first unofficial ODI in India A’s tour of New Zealand. He considered 46 runs in his 8 overs spell. K. Ahmed also picked 2 crucial wickets and helped in India A team victory against New Zealand.

Board of Control for Cricket Statement regarding Ahmed’s injury

BCCI said that “Ahmed’s hand has been placed in a plaster cast and the left-arm fast bowler has been ruled out of the remainder of India A’s tour”.

“He will be monitored by National Cricket Academy (NCA) through Rehabilitation” concluded by the BCCI.

This Rajasthani Young Left-arm medium bowler has an impressive career till now. He almost played all international, t20 leagues for the official Indian team and now he is representing domestic matches for India A team.

The pacer was outstanding on his debut match as he picked 3 wickets in his first match. He made a debut by playing for the Delhi team in the IPL. He has a very good track record in the IPL. He registered some good figures as a bowler in the year 2018.

After a terrific victory against New Zealand in the first ODI, India A failed to continue their winning streak. New Zealand A team registered their 2nd unofficial ODI win by 29 runs against India A. India A team lost the nail-bitting 3rd unofficial ODI by just 5 runs. The New Zealand team won the ODI series by 2-1.

There are two unofficial test matches that remained on this tour. The first test match is going to be held between January 30th to February 2nd. The last test match will be held at Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln on 7th February.
