Sydney Sixers vs Melbourne Stars Highlights: Sydney Sixers registered their second win of the season with a seven wicket win over Melbourne Stars at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Monday in the BBL 2022-23.

Captain Moises Henriques made a 151-run target a cake walk with an unbeaten 52 in 32, while James Vince 33, and Jordan Silk’s not out 30 were also crucial in the chase.

Sixers finished the game with 5 balls to spare and climbed up to fifth spot at the points table with 4 points in 4 games.

Earlier, the top-order batter Beau Webster played a solid knock of 78 off 51 to guide his side post 150 on board in 20 overs.

Invited to bat by Henriques, Stars faced a shaky start as they lost their both openers under the score of 10.

The in-form batter Joe Clarke did try his hand to provide his team some momentum, but Bird stopped his campaigner, as he toppled his stumps.

With just 47 on board and 3 wickets fell down, Beau Webster took the charge in his hand and added 38 runs for the fourth wicket alongside Nick Larkin, who contributed 12 in the partnership.

While a 59-run stand between Webster and Cartwright were crucial in overall aspects of Melbourne Stars innings.

Webster played a brilliant knock of 78 in just 51 and guided his side to touch 150-run mark.

Hayden Kerr was the pick of the bowler for team Sydney Sixers. He took 2 wickets by giving just 26 in his 4 overs.

The target is not that big, but the team, who already lost 2 of his 3 games, were in backfoot while chasing.

James Vince and Kurtis Patterson, however, steadied the ship for Sixers and collected 57 runs for the second wicket before Vince walked back after playing a knock of 33 off 28.

Patterson to follow him in the next over, as he was failed to read Webster deliver and got bowled for 24.

With 88 still required off 63, skipper Moises Henriques and Jordan Silk didn’t allow the Stars bowlers to take control of the game and kept on scoring runs with a decent pace.

Henriques was the aggressore in the partnership, while Silk was playing supportive role from the other end.

Skipper Henriques in no time completed his half-century and remained not out for 52 off 32 in the chase. While Silk played an unbeaten knock of 30 in 30.

Star bowler Trent Boult remained wicket less in the match, while skipper of Melbourne Stars, Adam Zampa, only managed to bag a single wicket.
