Jhye Avon Richardson, popularly known as Jhye Richardson was born in Murdoch, Western Australia on 20 September 1996. Jhye Richardson is an Australian right-arm fast bowler who has been a part of Australian squad from past couple of years in the Tests and T20Is. He has also played ODIs for Australia but last played an ODI on 7th March 2020. Jhye Richardson is known for his hit the deck pace and is also considered as the future of Australian bowling unit. He has the ability to pick the wickets in the middle as well as slog overs. Jhye Richardson was the part of Indian Premier league in 2021 and played for Punjab Kings. However, he was released after the season and didn’t get picked up in the TATA IPL 2022.

Jhye Richardson started of his domestic career playing for Western Australia. Richardson made his List A debut in October 2015 playing for Western Australia in the Matador BBQs league.

Jhye Richardson was also the part of the squad that took part in the Under-19 World Cup in 2016 and he played a remarkable role in Australia’s journey in the Under-19 World Cup.

In January 2016, Jhye Richardson made his T20 debut in the Big Bash League for Perth Scorchers and few months later made his first-class debut in the Sheffield Shield Trophy in March, 2016.

In Big Bash League 2017, Jhye Richardson took 11 wickets in the tournament and also played an important role in the finals picking 3 wickets and helping his team in winning the tournament. He was also named Player of the Match in the finals.
