IPL 2023: Sandeep Warrior, Abhishek Porel replace Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant

Jasprit bumrah and rishabh pant’s replacement:The replacements for Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant, two of the Mumbai Indians’ and Delhi Capitals’ star players, have been revealed.

Sandeep Warrier will take the position of Bumrah in the Mumbai Indians lineup, while Abhishek Porel will take the place of Pant in Delhi for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season.

The fate of the two players was known for some time, but MI and DC both took their time in selecting capable replacements, releasing the identities of the newcomers on the day the IPL 2023 season is set to begin.

Bumrah have not participated in the competitive cricket recently. He wasn’t present at the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup last year. While, Pant had to sit out the entire season due to the injuries he suffered in the car accident he was involved in on December 30 of last year.

Bumrah, 29, will miss the full IPL and the World Test Championship (WTC) match against Australia in June due to back surgery he had earlier this year in New Zealand.

The right-arm pacer wants to return, though, for the 50-over World Cup that India will hold later this year in October and November.

Bumrah, who was seen last Sunday at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai with his MI teammates witnessing the Women’s Premier League final, was also overheard conversing with England pace sensation Jofra Archer.

Mumbai Indians will begin their season with an away encounter against RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on April 2.

Rishabh Pant, the promising wicketkeeper batter and the skipper of Delhi Capitals was replaced by the veteran David Warner as the skipper of Delhi Capitals for IPL 2023 season.

Delhi will play their first match on April 2 against Lucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
