James Neesham Takes Eoin Morgan’s Side In Spat With R Ashwin

We’ve seen a spat between R Ashwin and Eoin Morgan lately when they played this week. The incident was taken place when Kolkata pacer Tim Southee dismissed R Ashwin in the final over of Delhi’s innings. Post that, Morgan said something to Ashwin, who responded quickly. Spat was taken on another level and it took keeper Dinesh Karthik and other players to step in and separate both of them, so James Neesham Reacted on this incident.

The reason behind the fight is that Ashwin tried to grab an extra run where a throw to keeper end was deflected on Rishabh Pant’s arm in the final delivery of 19th over.

Mumbai Indians all-rounder James Neesham has taken Kolkata Knight Riders captain Eoin Morgan’s side in the overthrow altercation with Delhi Capitals off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.  Quoting a tweet of Ashwin’s thread of his side of the story, Neesham earlier wrote, “Getting a bit boring now.” Responding to whose side he took, Ashwin’s or Morgan’s, Neesham wrote, “Morgan obviously.”

James Neesham was later asked about the deflection caused in the World Cup by Ben Stokes which helped England win the World Cup. Neesham commented, “Because they’re running if the ball crosses the boundary. But the etiquette of the game is that you don’t run if you’ve caused the deflection. It’s just one of that unspoken spirit of the game things.”

On the other hand, Ashwin has clarified that he has already decided to get a second run even before the KKR fielder had thrown the ball. Ashwin also asked his critics to not get confused by people who tell them that, “Do not confuse them by telling them that you will be termed a good person if you refuse the run or warn the non-striker, because all these people who are terming you good or bad have already made a living or they are doing what it takes to be successful elsewhere..”

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders are 2nd and 4th respectively on the points table and there are high chances both of the teams will make it to the playoffs.
