The IPL 2022 mega auctions are slated for next week. There is a tremendous buzz surrounding the auctions. These auctions will help teams build their squad for the next decade. All 10 teams will fiercely battle it out in the 2-day auctions to pick the best lot of players. Here are the top 5 Indian Players Who Can Cross 10 Crores In IPL Auction.

The Indian contingent of players will as usual fetch the highest amount of bids. There are a few teams who are in need of a skipper too. Expect these teams to go all out for a marquee Indian cricketer. There are few Indian players who may well cross the INR 10 crores benchmark in this mega auction.

Indian Players Who Can Cross 10 Crores In IPL Auction:

We look at 5 of them who could break the bank of INR 10 crores:

#5 Avesh Khan

Avesh Khan was sensational in IPL 2021. He had the knack of prizing out big wickets. Khan proved to be a handful against the likes of Hardik Pandya and Virat Kohli. He excelled both with the new ball and at the death. His sheer pace, accuracy, and aggression made everyone take notice of him. He is very close to making his international debut. Khan is an exciting prospect in the Indian circles. He can surprise with the money he will end up fetching in the mega auctions.

#4 Shardul Thakur

Shardul Thakur’s stocks have been on a constant rise. He proved his credentials in the tour to Africa too. He had earlier given a glimpse of his talent in India’s historic win at the Gabba. Shardul Thakur then played a vital hand in India’s win over England at the Oval. He played a key part in CSK’s title win in 2021. Thakur will be one of the most high-profile bowling allrounders in the auction. Expect teams to go all out for the man with the Midas touch.

#3 Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel was RCB’s standout player in IPL 2021. RCB had traded Patel from Delhi ahead of the 2021 season. He ended up with the purple cap equalling Dwayne Bravo’s league record of 32 wickets in a season. Patel soon went on to make his India debut. He impressed in both the games he played. Patel is one of the most sought-after bowlers in the league. Teams will vie to get him in their ranks. Expect a bidding war for Harshal Patel. He might end up fetching a double-digit cheque in the mega auctions.

#2 Shreyas Iyer

His career has seen everything in the past year. From being India’s first-choice number 4 player to being unsure of his place in the XI, it has been quite a journey for Iyer. It coincided with his parting from the franchise that groomed him.

Shreyas Iyer to his credit metamorphosed a stagnant Delhi team. He credibly led the side and along with Ricky Ponting took Delhi to the playoffs in 2019. They went one better in 2020 when they made the finals for the first time. But an untimely injury ahead of the 2021 season, ruled him out of the first leg of the season.

DC handed Rishabh Pant the captaincy job and strangely didn’t hand it back to Iyer once he was fit for the 2nd leg. Iyer had every right to feel short-changed. He left the Delhi terrain for greener pastures. It is widely expected that Iyer will fetch a number northwards of INR 16-17 crores in the mega auctions.

#1 Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan had a breakthrough IPL season in 2020. He smashed 520 runs at an average of 57.33 with a strike rate of 145. Kishan plundered the most sixes that season. He went on to make his India debut thanks to his IPL exploits. Kishan smashed fifties on debut both in the T2OIs and in the ODIs.

He even played a World Cup game. But a poor IPL 2021 cost him his place in the Mumbai side. They didn’t just bench him in a few games but released him. Kishan is a worthy talent that needs to be backed. There are few cricket experts who believe that Kishan might end up being the costliest pick in the mega auctions.
