IPL 2022 To Feature 55 Matches In Mumbai And 15 In Pune

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 15th season, would almost certainly be held in Maharashtra over 4 locations. The Wankhede Stadium, DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, Brabourne Stadium, as well as MCA Stadium in Pune, could be the 4 ideal locations for the premier league matches, with 55 matches to come in Mumbai & 15 games in Pune. Here in this article, we have given the Updates of IPL 2022 Venues.

As per sources, although all teams would stage 4 fixtures at the Wankhede and DY Patil Stadiums, the Brabourne and MCA venues will feature 3 fixtures each.

According to Insider, 2 potential possibilities are being examined for the commencement date of the 2022 IPL season. Whereas the official broadcasters prefer that the competition begins on March 26th, proceedings on March 27th are also being discussed. The event is expected to end on May 29th.

BCCI is focused on holding the complete IPL 2022 event in India

The number of doubleheader matches will be determined after the official start schedule is determined. The locations for the playoffs leg are about to be confirmed, but it is assumed that they will be whenever the IPL governing council gathers on February 24th.

The prospect of IPL not spreading throughout India arises as a result of the present outbreak. Importantly, the 2nd part of the 2021 IPL was conducted in the UAE rather than India due to an increase of COVID instances. On the other hand,  BCCI is focused on holding the event in India this year and does not want to take any risks that may harm its objectives.

The IPL will also see a significant start in the 2022 season, as a 10 teams competition rather than the 8 teams that have competed since its start.  The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Gujarat Titans (GT), 2 additional franchises, are ready to make their debuts. The blockbuster auction was successfully conducted in Bengaluru when all 10 teams were allowed to put together their lineups.
