RR vs MI 1st Innings Update
Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians are playing the 44th match of IPL 2022 and it is going great! Mumbai has won the toss and elected to field first. Rajasthan batting first scored 158 for 6 in the first innings. They have given a target of 159 for Mumbai to chase for their first victory.
During the death overs, R Ashwin was the man who decided to add runs with the bat at the much-required pace. With his quick 21 off 9, he helped Rajashtan score 28 runs in the last 3 overs. What conspired in the 16th over helped change the game for RR where Buttler hit 4 consecutive sixes off Shokeen. Rajasthan was in a bad place earlier to this as they were struggling to even score 140 runs.
In the last five overs, Rajasthan managed to score 56 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. The highest partnership of the innings was between Buttler and Daryl Mitchell who contributed 37 runs to the innings. There was no big partnership between any two batters today.
Bumrah bowled the 17th over of the game and was successful in restricting the batters, giving away just 4 runs. No wickets came in this over. A total of 13 runs and a wicket came off the 18th over of the innings bowled by Meridith.
The 19th over of the innings was bowled by Bumrah who couldn’t keep things tight, giving away 12 runs. The 20th over of the innings was bowled by Meridith and it was an impressive one. He bowled in a controlled manner and did not give any chance to Hetmyer to hit any boundaries.
