#1 Mayank Agarwal vs Trent Boult
The Punjab Kings captain, Mayank Agarwal, is yet to join the party. Apart from a sparkling fifty against the Mumbai Indians, Agarwal has done little of note. #2 Liam Livingstone vs Yuzvendra Chahal
Punjab Kings spent a whopping sum on Liam Livingstone. He was their most expensive buy in the auction. The batting allrounder to his credit has already repaid the faith shown in him. He has been their biggest X-factor this season. Livingstone has the uncanny ability to get going right from ball one. He will be up against one of the champion bowlers in the history of the league. Yuzvendra Chahal will line up an array of tricks to trap Livingstone. The Punjab allrounder will look to take the challenge head-on. It will be an entertaining contest.
#3 Jos Buttler vs Kagiso Rabada
Kagiso Rabada is up and running in IPL 2022. He is back among the wickets column. Rabada has now notched up back-to-back 4-wicket hauls. He is slowly breathing fire the big man. Rabada played a starring role in halting table-toppers, Gujarat Titans’ march. He will be keen to perform an encore against the best batsman in the league, Jos Buttler. The Rajasthan Royals opener has been in sizzling form this season. He has amassed runs for fun. Buttler has dug in deep to take the game away from the opposition. Punjab’s hopes to restrict Buttler will squarely lie on Rabada’s shoulders. It will be a terrific matchup.
#4 Sanju Samson vs Arshdeep Singh
The Rajasthan Royals captain, Sanju Samson smashed a terrific century last season against the Punjab Kings. It was not until the last over that Punjab had the game covered. Samson was the only batsman standing in front of Punjab and a win. Arshdeep Singh delivering the last over trumped Samson. The wily left-arm seamer is one of the best in the business at the death. He will challenge Samson the most in this contest.
