IPL 2022: KKR vs RR Player Battles To Watch Out For Today!

Kolkata Knight Riders vs  Rajasthan Royals Players Battles Preview:

KKR vs RR Player Battles: The Kolkata Knight Riders have flattered to deceive so far. They are on a 5-match losing streak. KKR who had won 3 from their first 4 games is still stuck at 3 wins from 9 games. Time is quickly running out for KKR. They won’t be having it easy against a well-oiled Rajasthan Royals unit that has 6 wins from 9 games.

We Look At The KKR vs RR Player Battles In This Contest:

#1 Shreyas Iyer vs Yuzvendra Chahal

The last time when these two sides met, it was the Chahal show that struck KKR. Yuzvendra Chahal picked up his maiden fiver coupled with a hattrick to derail KKR. The pick of his wickets was that of Shreyas Iyer’s. Iyer was batting in the 80s and the game was on the line. Enter Yuzvendra Chahal. He prized out Iyer. The game broke wide open there. Iyer will be eager to avenge the matchup. The KKR skipper is the lone warrior against spin. KKR will badly need their skipper to ace the Chahal challenge.

#2 Andre Russell vs Ravichandran Ashwin

KKR’s reliance on Andre Russell is a never-ending love story. The big burly allrounder continues to deliver for the team. He will need to put in a special performance if KKR has to end up on the winning side. The last time when Russell walked out to bat against RR, the game was on the edge. Ravichandran Ashwin outsmarted Russell to dismiss him as a blob. Andre Russell is usually pretty dismissive against off-spin. Hence he will be eager to settle scores with Ashwin in the rematch.

#3 Jos Buttler vs Umesh Yadav

The Rajasthan Royals opener has scored 35% of his team’s runs this season. He has been unstoppable once he lasts the powerplay. Jos Buttler has already notched up 3 centuries this season. He has amassed a total of 566 runs so far in 9 games. RR will bank on Buttler to provide them with a great start. Umesh Yadav will be the key from KKR’s point of view. He has the knack of dismissing the opponent’s best batsman. It can’t get better than Buttler at this time.

#4 Sanju Samson vs Sunil Narine

The special Sanju Samson knock has not yet arrived this IPL. He has played a couple of impactful cameos. But Rajasthan Royals is yet to witness their captain’s clinical batting masterclass. He won’t be having it easy against KKR. The veteran, Sunil Narine, will be standing in his way. Narine has been KKR’s standout bowler. He has played a lone hand in restricting the opposition. Narine has a number over Samson. It will be interesting to see how Samson plays against Narine.
