Roy, meanwhile, opted to pull his participation from the showpiece T20 tournament to spend more time with his family. In addition, despite his heavy workload, the destructive batter stated that he wishes to spend more time with family. “I feel it’s only right I spend some quality time with my family. As well as spending time working on myself and my game over the next couple of months leading into a very busy year,” he added.

Roy also wished the Titans to lift their maiden IPL trophy and thanked everyone in the franchise for their support for him and hopeful to back him after making a tough call during the crucial moment.

“I will be following each game of the Titans and backing them to lift the trophy in their first year of the tournament. Thank you everyone for the continued support and I hope you can all respect and appreciate my decision,” he concluded.

Furthermore, the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL)-2022 is scheduled to begin on March 26 and will be concluded on May 29. However, the 15th edition of the IPL will be featuring 10 teams which include 2 new teams Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) with the existing 8 teams. It will be exciting to watch the showpiece event with 10 teams in the pool and supporters to be curious to find their favorite stars back on the field with their formidable squads in the action.
