IPL 2022: Huge boost for Delhi Capitals: After recuperating from Covid-19, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh and wicket-keeper batter Tim Seifert have returned to the nets, which is a huge boost for the Delhi Capitals (DC). This was announced on Wednesday by the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise. Marsh and Seifert, who were diagnosed with Coronavirus just a few days ago, have joined the Delhi Capitals for practice after completing the required isolation period.

On the eve of their match against the Kolkata Knight Riders, Marsh and Seifert were seen sweating it out in the nets with fellow Delhi Capitals players. The Delhi Capitals shared images of the two players training during the session on Twitter.

Marsh, an Australian cricketer, was the first foreign player to test Covid-19, and he was hospitalized last Monday as a result. Two days later, Seifert tested positive, only hours before Delhi’s match versus Punjab Kings. Fortunately, this had no bearing on the IPL 2022 match between DC and PBKS.

The Delhi Capitals shared images of the two cricketers during the training session on social media.”We’re in a good mood. It’s great to have you back in the gym, boys “In a social media post, DC stated.

Every member of an IPL squad in a team bubble gets tested every fifth day, as opposed to every third day last season, as per the BCCI’s testing regulations. “However, if the franchisee wishes to test its members on its own, they are allowed to do so.” The news comes after team physio Patrick Farhart tested positive last week, forcing him, along with the DC masseur, to be isolated.

“We were scheduled to depart today,” a team source stated, “but we’ve been forced to stay in our accommodation until further notice.” The viral danger inside the controlled environment has escalated as COVID cases have multiplied outside the IPL bio-bubble. The event was forced to be stopped in the middle of last season owing to the second wave.

In September and October, it was continued and finished in the UAE. The IPL organizers are taking extra steps this year to put the event in a bio-bubble and protect players, support staff, and officials from the pandemic virus, although 50% of the audience is permitted in each of the four stadiums – Wankhede, DY Patil, Brabourne, and Pune MCA Stadium.
