INDvsNZ: 1st Test – Day 1 Match Highlights

Team India has won the toss and elected to bat first and they have made the right choice – Looking at the fresh green wicket, it was a great track to bat on first. Mayank Agarwal and Shubhman Gill have started the innings for Team India and unfortunately, Mayank (13) has fallen short of a perfect shot and ended losing his wicket to Jamieson.

After that wicket, Pujara (26) and Gill had a good partnership but were not soo productive for Team India. Gill has played an excellent knock of 52 in 93 balls and skipper A Rahane (35) has not played up to the mark and ended losing his wicket to Jamieson.

Jadeja and Iyer took the game from then on and both played a few excellent shots. They made an excellent partnership in the 2nd half of the day and helped Team India to post a good total of 258-4 in 84 Overs. New Zealand pacers have bowled that excellent line and length deliveries and Indian batsmen have definitely found some tough time in facing the Kiwis bowlers. Now Indian batsmen will look to post a challenging 1st innings total on Day-2.
