The BCCI has declared India’s teams for the next T20I versus New Zealand at home. The series will begin with T20Is on 17th November, followed by Test matches beginning on November 25. India were out of the 2021 T20 World Cup in the Super 12 round, therefore concluded Virat Kohli’s term as T20 captain. Rohit Sharma has been confirmed as India’s captain for the T20I series by the selectors. Lets look at India’s Squad For NZ Series.

Despite spending more than 6 months in a bubble, many players who’ve been part of the World Cup team have been decided to rest for the T20I series, as planned. Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Shami have all been termed out of the 3 T20Is versus New Zealand.

Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, and Deepak Chahar, who were on the bench for the World Cup, have been promoted to the main team this time. For the next T20 World Cup only 11 to go, this is also a platform for the players to establish their position. Yuzvendra Chahal also resumes after being left out of the World Cup.

The selection panel also chose the India ‘A’ team for the next South Africa tour, which will begin on November 23, 2021, at Bloemfontein. During the tour, the squad will start playing 4-day matches. The two sides will play 3 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 4 T20Is in South Africa.
