MI bowlers were clinical. Trent Boult returned to his former franchise with figures of 3/28 as Jasprit Bumrah 2/15 and Karn Sharma 03/23 tore through the middle and lower order. Hardik Pandya also contributed with a neat over, taking a wicket and allowing only two runs.
The victory greatly increases Mumbai Indians’ net run rate and puts them at the peak of the table, while it will be the turn of the Rajasthan Royals to rue a merciless defeat even while enjoying the privilege of home side.
