Sanju Samson and his Injury status
Sanju Samson who has been playing as the impact player, was sidelined from his captain and wicket-keeping duties for the first three matches for RR. Riyan Parag who stepped in, had an underwhelming start to their campaign. According to reports, Sanju Samson, has traveled to the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) to seek full clearance for his wicket-keeping duties after recovering from surgery on his right index finger. Samson had previously been given only partial and provisional approval to play in IPL 2025.
Samson will undergo an evaluation by the Sport Science division at CoE to assess his fitness for full wicket keeping responsibilities. If cleared, he is expected to resume both his wicket keeping role and his captaincy duties. So far, Samson has contributed with the bat in the ongoing IPL season, scoring 66 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad, 13 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders, and 20 runs against Chennai Super Kings. His return would boost the form for Rajasthan Royals for their IPL 2025 campaign.

Having played 3 matches, they have won one, which was their recent victory against CSK, and lost two.
