#10 Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans had an underwhelmingly poor season in IPL 2024, as they finished with just 12 points in fourteen matches played. Their struggles don’t just end there, last season GT had the lowest power play run rate of just 7.72, their main focus area should be the opening lineup, Shubman Gill needs supportive batter alongside him on the pitch, with Jos Buttler in the squad, who had scored 2 centuries and at total of 359 runs for RR in IPL 2024 will be a key player to watch.
Their major team’s key team combinations lies in Impact players like Sai Krishna and Mahipal Lomror, who have yet to prove themselves in the IPL. Alongside the impact players, the pacer attack GT has such as Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj will be crucial for their season, and with players like Rashid Khan, Washington Sundar, and Glenn Philips who provide consistent support to the team will play key roles for GT in IPL 2025.
Their chances to rank up based on their squad and team strength are at 57%, and their probable IPL finishing position could be somewhere between 7-9.
#9 Delhi Capitals
Next up, it’s Delhi Capitals, DC’s IPL 2024 was a decent season as they finished on the 6th spot with 14 points in hand. Although they have won 3 games in their last 5 matches played in IPL, they will suffer through some changes. The first change being new leaders, Axar Patel will get hands-on experience of leading an IPL franchise for the first time, alongside his deputy Faf du Plessis. And with Rishabh Pant gone, they have to strike a balance in their batting lineup with KL Rahul their latest addition in their squad.
If Delhi strikes a balance with their strong batters up front like Jake Fraser-McGurk, Faf du Plessis and KL Rahul, they can build strong run rates consistently. Their chances to rank up based on their squad and team strength are at 55%, and their probable IPL finishing position could be somewhere between 8-10.
#8 Rajasthan Royals
Let us explain why we put a 3rd spot finish in IPL 2024 team in the 8th rank for IPL 2025. Although Rajasthan Royals strength lies in their opening batting lineup, they lack strong players like Jos Buttler, Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, whom they let go in the IPL mega auction 2025. Sanju Samson who is now relieved after his finger injury has joined the training sessions before the IPL 2025. Shubham Dubey, and Vaibhav Suryavanshi who showcase talent, are yet to play IPL and cannot be considered as probable and consistent players.
Apart from this striking a balance between the whole squad in just a few days, will be a tough challenge for the team. With this squad their chances of getting a better ranking are 50%, and their probable IPL finishing position could be somewhere around 6-10
#7 Lucknow Super Giants
Lucknow Super Giants had finished IPL 2024 at the seventh spot last season, with just 2 wins in their last 5 matches played in IPL, they had just retained just 5 players for IPL 2025. LSG went all out to get Rishabh Pant in their squad, as he is set to lead the team for IPL 2025. They have a strong batting and bowling squad, but their area of concern is missing strong openers, consistent spin attack, and underwhelming backup players. Aussie Opener Marsh is injured, Bishnoi doesn’t have spin support, and Abdul Samad is not consistent as a backup player.
If Rishabh Pant can lead this team in the right direction, their chances of getting a better ranking are 60%, and their probable IPL finishing position could be around 5-8.
