Digvesh Rathi Suspended And Abhishek Sharma Fined

Digvesh Rathi and Abhishek Sharma Slapped Hefty
In 7.3 overs, Abhishek Sharma played the shot from the bottom of his bat to Rathi’s delivery and was caught by Shardul Thakur. Digvesh Rathi, as usual, did his notebook ticking celebration after Abhishek’s wicket. However, Rathi’s celebration had provoked Abhishek, and both were in an animated exchange until the umpires could handle the situation.

Digvesh Rathi won’t be playing for LSG’s upcoming encounter with the Gujarat Giants on Thursday, 22 May. On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma was reprimanded with 25% of his match fees and a demerit point for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct.
Abhishek Sharma was also the Player of the Match, having scored 59 runs on 20 deliveries. The left-handed batter had guided the SRH’s innings, and SRH had won the match by six wickets. Abhishek Sharma has scored 373 runs in 12 matches played. His best was 141 in 55 balls against the PBKS. On the other hand, Digvesh Rathi has taken 14 wickets in 12 matches played with an average of 28.07. The LSG spinner’s best figure was 30/2 against the PBKS.
