IND vs Sl 1st T20I Winner

Sri Lanka has won the toss and asked India to bat first, as usual Dhawan and Shaw have opened the 1st innings of the game. But unfortunately, things have not started well for India as Shaw had to depart on the first ball itself.

After Shaw’s dismissal, Dhawan and Samson had an excellent partnership and built some solid numbers on board. Even Surya Kumar Yadav had an excellent outing with his blazing half-ton knock in just 34 balls.

And India has posted 164-5 in 20 overs and it is a little below the par score at the venue. And there was a big challenge ahead for the Indian bowlers to defend the total.

Batting troubles continue for Sri Lanka and apart from Asalanka (44) none of the batsmen has really shown some intent in winning the game. Every batsman from the Sri Lankan setup was having some hard time against Indian Bowlers.

And Indian bowlers had their best time on the field, Where Bhuvi has picked 4 wickets, Chahar – 2, and Varun, Krunal, Chahar, Hardik shared a wicket each.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been announced as the Man Of The Match for his outing spell. During the post-match presentation, he said – “I executed what I wanted to and I am satisfied. I played ODIs after a long time but the execution is really important for me. The wicket was difficult to bat against the spinners”.

India will face their 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka on July 27th, 2021 at Colombo.
