India women’s team announced for the England tour in September

The BCCI has announced that India Women’s team will be playing against England, where they will play three ODI’s and three T20Is in early September. The All-India Women’s selection committee has finally picked the squad for the tour to England. Here in this article, we talk about India Women’s Team Squads for England Tour.

Pacer Jhulan Goswami has returned to the ODI squad for the England tour, and even the like of Jemimah Rodrigues has returned to the squad after an injury faced during the Hundred tournament and will be part of both the ODI and T20 squad.

Navgire will be making her debut in the T20 squad and will hope to create an impact in the squad. Even the Wicket-keeper has been called back where Richa Ghosh will make her comeback in the T20 squad.

The Indian T20 side recently won the Silver medal at the commonwealth games in Birmingham, where they showed great character in coming back from losing the first match to reaching the final of the competition but the mighty India side was one step closer (9 runs away) from grabbing the gold medal against Australia.

The schedule for the tour will start with the T20Is and will progress towards the ODIs to conclude the series,

T20Is:

• First T20 – 10th September at Riverside Stadium, Durham
• Second T20 – 13th September at Incora County Ground, Derby
• Third T20 – 15th September at Bristol County Ground, Nevil Road

ODIs:

• First ODI – 18th September at Central County Ground, Hove
• Second ODI – 21st September at Canterbury
• Third ODI – 24th September at Lord’s
