India Vs West Indies: Rishabh Pant To Break MS Dhoni’s Record

Rishabh Pant is probably taken as the possible successor for MS Dhoni’s position in the Indian cricket team but the young player has been underperforming in the last couple of limited match series. Pant was unable to catch the attention of the audience with his bat and the involvement of Sanju Samson in the team means extra pressure for the wicket-keeper cum batsman. However, the team has shown a good amount of faith and trust when it is related to him and during the first T20I match against West Indies on Friday, he will have a great chance to break Dhoni’s record against the Windies team.

Currently, Dhoni has three catches and two stumpings against team West Indies. He is the most impressive wicket-keeper against India-West Indies T20Is matches. Pant only has three till now, and the fifth in the list but with these three matches coming up in the series, he will have a golden chance to take the position in the list.

Team India’s Preparation Against Windies In The Upcoming Match:

Team India will have focus on the rare blemishes in the T20Is test series behind them when they will play against West Indies. Team India has already given their best performance and defeated the Windies in all the three formats when they had a visit to the Caribbean Islands earlier of August.

The T20I match series against Bangladesh which was played last month, the team of Blue Men under the responsibility of Rohit Sharma were not in their absolute format as they have seen their first-ever defeat from the Asian neighbor’s team in that format.

The Indian team will once again be under Virat Kohli captaincy, who has already given much assistance and stability at the top of the order format. If we come across the top four Indian players they are Rohit, KL Rahul, Kohli and Shreyas Iyer who would be a tough competitor to reach any bowling attack and consider that team Windies have lack of experience on that field, it would be a tough challenging task for the Windies to overcome from the team India’s attack.
