Sundar Pichai’s response to Pakistani fan who asked him to see ‘first three overs’ sends the internet into a frenzy

Google CEO Sundar Pichai is a fervent cricket fan who frequently talks about how much he enjoys the sport. The CEO’s passion for cricket was evident once more in a tweet he made when he claimed that he spent Diwali this year watching the final three overs of the India vs. Pakistan T20 World Cup 2022 match at the MCG.

The way the India versus Pakistan T20 World Cup 2022 match played out at the MCG on Sunday left everyone in a frenzy. India’s stunning victory was made possible by Virat Kohli’s 82-run heroics. Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, also praised Kohli’s performance on Twitter. But later, a fan requested that he also watch the “opening three overs.” Pichai responded to the fan’s request in an epic way that had the Twittersphere in giggles.

In the final three overs, India needed 48 runs to win the match, and it appeared like, despite Kohli’s outstanding performance, the Indian team might simply lose. After hitting two consecutive sixes off the bowling of Haris Rauf in the 19th over to leave 16 runs to be scored from the final six balls, the former India captain showed that he still had confidence in his ability.

India prevailed by four wickets in the final over following a dramatic 20th over, and Kohli was named Player of the Match.

For those who don’t know, Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya were both dismissed in the final over of the thrilling game. India, however still won the match after scoring six runs off a no-ball, one wide, and three byes.

A fan commented on the post saying: “you should watch 1st three overs”, to which the Google CEO responded: “Did that too:) what a spell from Bhuvi and Arshdeep.”

In his tweet, Pichai made reference to the opening three overs of the match, during which Indian pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Arshdeep Singh tightened the grip around the Pakistan top order. After dismissing captain Babar Azam, Arshdeep quickly got rid of Mohammad Rizwan for a pitiful 4 from 12 balls. leaving Pakistan reeling at 15/2 after four overs.

While a user also commented on the same post and told the fan to frame the post in his study room.

The match between India and Pakistan in Melbourne ended up being an extravaganza, with the game taking many unexpected turns. India will be looking to keep up this momentum while Pakistan will be trying to quickly bounce back from this defeat.
