Heroic Comeback

After having been deemed to rest for about 6 weeks from the medical center, Pant, who arrived at the stadium to support his teammates, did the impossible. He padded up, and came back on the pitch to complete his innings in this series defining test. The whole stadium erupted to applaud his heroic efforts at 6th down, when he stumbled his way onto the pitch, and is doing his best to keep his team in the game for the test win.

We don’t get to watch this everyday in the game of cricket, a player who was meant to rest, is giving his best to keep his country in contention for the series win. And with a comeback half-century to his name and a score of 54 runs, are enough to etch his name in the books.

Where does India stand?

India are currently riding the adrenaline wave of Rishabh Pant’s comeback, have scored a decent 358 runs, thanks to strong performances from Jaiswal, Rahul and pant. However, if they fail to defend their target, England will be adding to the pressure India faces to win this important game to stay in contention to win the Anderson-Tendulkar Series.

With Anshul Kamboj a new addition to the squad, his performances can be deceptive to be read by the English Side. With that in mind, we hope the team who deserves this win should be awarded the win.
