With Fractured Finger Bashir ruled out of remainder of India Tour of England 2025

Shoaib Bashir, England off-spinner has been ruled out from the remainder of India Tour of England 2025 due to the fracture to his left hand finger. Because of this injury he has to undergo surgery. So let’s have a look at the Fractured Finger Bashir ruled out of remainder of tests against India.

Shoaib Bashir will be not available to play the upcoming two test matches due to his left hand finger injury while catching his own bowling in the Lord’s Test.

On Day 3 of the Third Test when Ravindra Jadeja was batting in 78th over of India’s first innings, at this moment Bashir while attempting to catch his own ball and tried to take a return catch unluckily missed and got injured to his left hand finger. He looked very serious discomfort while trying to stop the ball on boundary in the deep which was strapped to his left hand. Bashir walked out the field and received treatment and Joe Root was bowled for rest 10.1 overs.

In England’s second innings Bashir came out to bat in his 11th position and scored two runs of nine balls and dismissed by off-spinner Washington Sundar. Bashir remained off and later Day 5 he was called for bowling late in the day. Eventually, Bashir was the person who took the final wicket of Mohammad Siraj and then England got a thrilling victory, which was amazing for him by having injured his hand. Bashir has established himself as England’s leading spin bowler.

Dawson and Leach are being considered for selection

In the last few years, he has often been chosen ahead of his Somerset teammate Jack Leach. Whether Leach will be recalled back in the absence of Bashir remains to be seen. Rehan Ahmed, Liam Dawson, and Tom Hartley are also in contention to pick the line up for the last two matches.
