With Jofra Archer not available for the first test, and Mark Wood being out of the series, the 6 ‘4 Eddie Jack could possibly be the ideal replacement against the Indian side.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Struggles in Unofficial tests
Now if we shift our focus on to the Indian side, Yashasvi Jaiswal who has a strong BGT season in the early 2025. He has been struggling to get back on to strong runs on the scoreboard for India A against England. He managed to score just 110 runs in the series, with a half-century being his highest score.
With his struggling performances, players like Karun Nair who has been performing strongly on the English pitches can be called up for the tests against England. If Yashasvi Jaiswal proves his past performances wrong he can secure his spot in the playing XI and eliminate the doubts in his performances.
