Rohit Sharma, the captain of Team India, stated on Saturday that he has already chosen his starting lineup for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup opener against Pakistan. As it did in the previous event, India will start its campaign against Pakistan. On October 23, these two teams will square off in a thrilling match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

With a thrilling 10-wicket triumph over Virat Kohli and company last year, Pakistan defeated India for the first time ever in World Cup history. Therefore, the Men in Blue will attempt to tie the Men in Green this time.

Since the conclusion of the T20 World Cup in 2017, India has experimented with around 30 players in the T20I team, but on Saturday (October 15), Rohit revealed that he has already decided on the starting lineup for the match against Pakistan. Rohit claimed that while he like for people to be well-prepared, he does not believe in making last-minute decisions.

“I don’t think in hurried decisions. In order for our guys to get ready early, we want to keep them informed about team selection. I already know who will start against Pakistan. These players are already aware. I don’t believe in hurried decisions. I want them to be well-prepared “During the conference, Rohit said.

“Last-minute decisions are not something I support. So that they may start preparing early, we want to keep our youngsters informed about team selection. For the match against Pakistan, I’ve already selected my starting lineup. Those participants are already aware. I don’t think in last-minute decisions. I’d like them to practice properly “During the meeting, Rohit made a statement.

“Shami has not yet been seen by me. Nevertheless, I’ve heard wonderful things about him. Tomorrow (Sunday) during practice in Brisbane, I’ll evaluate him “Added he.

Shami, who competed for India in the T20 World Cup last year, has already arrived in Brisbane, where Team India will compete in two exhibition games on October 17 and 19 against Australia and New Zealand, respectively.

India squad for T20 World Cup: Rohit Sharma (captain), KL Rahul (vice-capt), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wk), Dinesh Karthik (wk), Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Shami
