Winning the Toss India chose to field New Zealand and posted a challenging 176/6 against India in the first T20I. Opener Devon Conway made a 35-ball 52. While Daryl Mitchell smashed a 30-ball unbeaten 59. For India, Washington Sundar (2/22) scalped two wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav (1/20), Shivam Mavi (1/19 in 2, overs) and Arshdeep Singh (1/51) accounted for one wicket each.

Chasing 176 India Collapsed, New Zealand Beat India by 21Runs to go 1-0 up in the Series 

Washington Sundar Struggled from one side to bring India the winning umbrella, by hitting 50 off28 in the 1st T20 at Ranchi.

The Opening Pair Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill Started well in the chase with the four in the last ball of the openers over. Michael Bracewell with a four off the first ball, but the spinner clean bowled Ishan Kishan two balls later to give the Kiwis an early breakthrough.

After hitting two big hits, could not connect the next and caught on the Long on.

Indian Skipper Hardik Pandya also dismissed for 21 and Washington Sundar attacked from one side, but Indian batting order collapsed at Ranchi on Friday evening.

Bracewell and Santner took the charge for the New Zealand bowling line up took 2-2 important wickets for the side. New Zealand all together took 5 wickets in a nutshell they performed a good cricket at Ranchi in the 1st Master Card ODI.

Although the surface helped the wrist spinner.  Brilliant innings by the left-hander again. Whilst the others looked troubled, he looked absolutely comfortable on this surface.

Brilliant comeback over from Arshdeep Singh, who conceded 22 runs in his first two overs. Two wickets and two singles at this stage is pure gold. Set batter Devon Conway (52) was holed out at long-off by Deepak Hooda before Michael Bracewell was run-out off Ishan Kishan’s direct hit from behind the stumps.
