“If He Gets In Your Way, Push And Drop Him On The Ground”, The Stump-Mic Comments Of ‘Mushfiqur Rahim’ Are Going Viral

Bangladeshi wicketkeeper-batsman, Mushfiqur Rahim is noted for always being in the opponent’s face, either by his aggressive actions or by saying some unpleasant words behind the stumps. Along with Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal, Rahim is the one who keeps the team’s strength up and is, in many ways, the team’s spirit. And his comments goes viral Push and Drop Him Ground .

Bangladesh is currently hosting Sri Lanka for a three-match ODI series, with the home team winning the first two matches. Rahim excelled in the second ODI, striking a brilliant 125 runs to help Bangladesh reach a 246-run total. The wicketkeeper-batter did something unpleasant while defending the target that he should not have done.

“Push him and drop him to the ground if he comes in your way” – Mushfiqur Rahim

Danushka Gunathilaka and Pathum Nissanka were batting and trying to set up a partnership when Mehidy Hasan Miraz arrived in the bowl. Nissanka wanted a quick single after Gunathilaka defended the ball to a diving Miraz, assuming the ball had gone past the bowler. Miraz eventually came to a halt, and Nissanka left the crease. Rahim advised Miraz to come in front of the wicket if there was a chance of a wicket.

“Push him and drop him to the ground if he comes in your way,” on the stump mic, Rahim was heard telling Miraz. As Bangladesh secured the three-match series with one match remaining, his spectacular tonne was overshadowed by his suspicious actions.

Players like Liton, Afif, and Mossadek should have grabbed the opportunity- Rahim

Later in the post-match presentation, the small hitter went lyrical about his team’s effort, regarding the importance of young players stepping up when the seniors fail to get going.

“I think Tamim [Iqbal] and Shakib [Al Hasan] score regularly and as they had a bad day, players like Liton, Afif, and Mossadek should have grabbed the opportunity. If there are seven to eight performers it becomes easy. They should be more selective with their shot selection and must know when to play a low-risk shot and when to play a high-risk shot. I think they (juniors) need to contribute or else it becomes difficult for us,” Rahim said after the match.
