We are seeing development for Women’s Cricket in all spheres. After U-19 Women’s T20 WC, we have ICC Women’s T20 WC Qualifiers to talk about. To determine which two teams will travel to South Africa next year, the Women’s World Cup Qualified will be held starting on September 18.

Eight growing nations will compete for the final two spots in the ICC Women’s T20 WC. Their goal will be to join the defending champions Australia along with hosts South Africa, as well as top sides England, the runner-up from last season- India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and West Indies.

The nations that will compete in a series of T20 International matches in Abu Dhabi starting from Sunday are Bangladesh, Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Scotland, Thailand, UAE, the United States, and Zimbabwe.

Bangladesh is just outside the group of teams with a Women’s T20I Ranking of 9. They have already qualified for the competition, while the United States enters the Qualifier as the underdog with a Ranking of 28. The teams will look on to giving tough competition to each other as they progress

When and Where?

The Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier will be held in Abu Dhabi at Tolerance Oval and Zayed Cricket Stadium. The group games will be played On September 18, 19, and 21. On September 25, the playoffs and the championship game will be played.

How the qualifiers work?

The eight teams have been split into two groups of four, and the top two teams from each group will go to a playoff to determine who will advance to the Women’s T20 World Cup final qualifiers. The top team from each group will then play the second-placed team from the opposing group in a high-stakes playoff. The winners will then earn a trip to South Africa for the following season.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023’s final game between the two qualifiers will later decide which group each player will play in.
