Virat Kohli’s underwhelming performances continue, his last ODI stint against England ended with just 5 runs. His Ranji Trophy return didn’t last long as well, he was cheaply dismissed in his return. Let’s look at, Virat Kohli and his Performance in the Champions Trophy.

Virat Kohli played in three editions of Champions Trophy, which are 2009. 2013, and 2017. In his 3 editions played he has batted in 12 innings and scored a total of 529 runs, his best performance coming in the 2017 edition wherein he had played 5 innings and scored 3 half centuries as well.

To sum it up, he has piled up a bunch of decent performances, and majorly been batting at a strike rate of 92.3. Surprisingly he has also bowled in the Champions Trophy, He had bowled 12 overs in 3 editions and has an average economy of 6.25. Although he was bowling good economy, he didn’t get a dismissal in the 12 overs bowled.

Even though the year 2013 was not good in numbers for Virat Kohli, 2013 year was successful for team India, as they had a great campaign and won the title by defeating England.
