Apart from the team’s humiliating loss to England, things became much worse when Kusal Mendis, Danushka Gunathilaka, and Niroshan Dickwella broke the team’s bio-bubble and were ordered to leave immediately. Kumar Sangakkara About Suspension Of Srilanka Players

The three are made up of the team’s most senior players, and their misconduct has a negative impact on the team’s performance. Kumar Sangakkara is not satisfied with  Gunathilaka, Dickwella, and Mendis. The players should have adequate support when they come back to Sri Lanka, instead of just making them appear like culprits.

There must be methods focusing on a positive lifestyle for the right Candidates: Sangakkara

Sangakkara also believes that the players should be counseled on the issue to assist them to overcome it. Without a sure, the trio will face harsh punishment, but there must be methods to make these players the right candidates by focusing on a positive lifestyle.

“The three players are very senior players, one the vice-captain. There will be an inquiry and there will be a sanction. I hope that support and counseling will be made available to keep developing them, not just skill-wise as cricketers but more as people, to get them really focused on living a positive lifestyle on and off the field,” Sangakkara said.

In a three-match T20I series, the Sri Lankan side, on the other hand, was once again thoroughly defeated by the B-looking England side. This is their sixth straight loss in the shortest format, and losing without putting up a fight has upset many analysts and fans, to say the least.

Despite the absence of several of its regular players, including Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, and Jason Roy, England failed to win a single game in the three T20Is. The team was bowled out for just 185 runs in the ODI format. There are two more ODIs left, and the Sri Lankan team will be hoping to recover some honour.
