Harbhajan Singh Says Health First, But Don’t Mind Closed Door Matches

Harbhajan Singh Feels A Lot Of Lives Are On The Line Amid The Ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic:

Former Indian spinner and commentator Harbhajan Singh says that many lives are on the line in the aftermath of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and the Indian Premier League (IPL) 13th season only needs to continue after the restoration of the pandemic.

Harbhajan, a veteran of the 413 Test wickets, said that he was happy with cricket behind closed doors because it ensures the safety of the fans and players.

On the IPL prospect of IPL 2020, he is expressing his views on Cricket Related Show in Star Sports. He said, “Spectators are significant, but if situations happen, I don’t mind playing without them. Sure, I won’t get the excitement as a player, but that will make sure every fan gets to see IPL on their television.”

“We’ll have to be vigilant about it and consider the health of players by ensuring that match sites, team accommodation, and planes are adequately sanitized. There’s a lot of life on the track, and we should arrange IPL when everything is fine.”

The IPL Can Start Soon Because I Am Missing Fielding – Harbhajan Singh

The Turbanator hopes the cash rich-league can restart early and added that he missed the action on the field terribly.

I missed most of the matches, was expecting that I would get the chance to play 17 matches including finals after a year break. I am missing the trips to the grounds and the crowds of fans waiting to welcome us, the vehicles that used to travel along with our bus.

I am sure every fan is missing this too. I hope the IPL comes early, and till then, I remain safe and fit,” said the 39-year-old Harbhajan Singh.

On 13 March, the BCCI decided to postpone IPL 2020 after the outbreak of COVID-19. Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared a three-week lockdown in another significant change for India, which would continue until April 15. More postponing or canceling the cash-rich league now seems inevitable.
