Happy Birthday Evin Lewis: The date of Evin Earl Lewis’ birth is December 27, 1991. He plays limited-overs cricket for the West Indies and is a Trinidadian. As an opening left-handed batsman in Twenty20 Internationals, he is the third player to have recorded two hundreds. He typically scores goals quickly as well.
He had previously competed for Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League before joining Lucknow Super Giants in 2022.
Evin Lewis’s Playing Style
Being one of the few players with two hundred in Twenty20 Internationals, Evin Lewis batters opening for an aggressive left hand. Having been called in to fill in for an injured Lendl Simmons, he made his debut in the 2016 World T20 match between Afghanistan and Nagpur. Later on that year, in Abu Dhabi, he played his first ODI match against Pakistan.
Evin Lewis’s early Cricketing Career
Rio Claro, Trinidad is where Evin Lewis was born. He participated in three games for the West Indies under-19 team during the 2010 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand. Prior to that, he competed for Trinidad & Tobago in the domestic limited-overs competition known as the WICB President’s Cup in 2009–2010.
In March 2012, Lewis made his Trinidad & Tobago first-class debut. In a Twenty20 International against Afghanistan in March 2016, Lewis made his senior West Indies debut. Later in the year, when Pakistan was the opponent, he made his One Day International (ODI) debut.
His Current Playing status in different Leagues around the world
He was purchased by the Lucknow Super Giants in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition in February 2022. When Lucknow Super Giants needed to win the Indian Premier League, he played a quick-fire knock of 55*(23) against the defending champion Chennai Super Kings.
He was acquired by the Jaffna Kings in July 2022 in preparation for the third Lanka Premier League.
