The Downfall of Ajay Jadeja
The 5-year ban for match-fixing cast a shadow over Jadeja’s cricket accomplishments later. Jadeja was able to resume playing domestic and international cricket when the Delhi High Court overturned the ban on January 27, 2003.
On 2 February 2001, Jadeja filed a petition with the Delhi High Court to appeal the BCCI’s decision to impose the five-year suspension based on the recommendations of the K. Madhavan Committee. In 2003, he resumed playing Ranji. Although the ban ended, after some Ajay Jadeja said goodbye to cricket forever.
