‘People From Both Countries Need To Be Patient’- Yuvraj Singh
With COVID-19 danger spreading all over the world, Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Rohit Sharma had a live session on Instagram where the duo talked in lengths regarding cricket. The pair believed fans take things very seriously when it comes to specific matches, particularly the rivalry between India and Pakistan. The duo gave the supporters from both countries a specific order not to question players so much following a bad day on the field.
When it comes to the India-Pakistan match, Yuvraj Singh spoke about how fans get personal. The former cricketer claimed that fans from both the teams should have some patience with their players, as they always give their everything to win.
“The best example is India and Pakistan match. Everyone has patriotism about their country, but the point that you have to think about the players, Every player is performing their 100 percent on the crease, but only one team will win. Sometimes our team will win, and sometimes the opponent team is going to win. People from both countries need to have more patience towards their players.”
Winning And Losing Is A Part Of The Game- Rohit Sharma:
Yuvraj also claimed that India won more matches in the World Cups against the arch-rivals as they managed well to play. He also found that Pakistan had a strong side that always competes against India in the previous decades.
“Fortunately, most matches in the tournaments were won by the Indian team because we had managed the pressure in a better way. Similarly, Pakistan was a much stronger squad in the earlier decade that achieved the same thing, “Yuvraj said.
Rohit Sharma repeated Yuvraj Singh’s words too. Rohit urged fans to appreciate the players and match, rather than just taking it seriously. He also criticized the media for talking ill about a specific player after he fails to impress in a pair of matches. He said that winning and losing is just a part of the game but every player tries to give their best to win.
“I also agree. This thing is important, and we try to tell our fans about it whenever we get the chance, “Sharma said. “We appreciate that you want your team to succeed, and we’re doing our hardest to win, but the other side is still competing, so they’re also trying to win, and winning and losing is part of the game.
But the point is people shouldn’t write off players thinking he is playing poorly and kick him out of the squad. Fans should just enjoy the game and let the authorities do what they can do, “he said.
