Virat Kohli, India’s captain expressed pleasure for whitewashing New Zealand with 5-0 in their own country. This is India’s inaugural T20I series victory in New Zealand.
Virat speaking in the post-match presentation – ” All the credits go to the youngster for standing in a supportive way and their strength in pressure situations”.
He even added by saying – “We all are proud of the victory and the way we’ve played in this series. I think the conversation we had was to always look to find ways to win. You don’t want to see what happened to Rohit Sharma, but there were all the young players are playing the series and handling the pressure ultimately”.
Kohli added – ” The guys are taking notice of it and they realize that the team needs 120% from them every time. Because only then you will find ways to win. That has been a massive change for us in the last couple of years. We have seen the results; we obviously won’t win everything and these victories give a lot more happiness than one-sided victories,” Kohli said in the presentation ceremony.
