Chennai Super Kings Are Three Time Title Winners:
In IPL history, the Chennai Super Kings has got a special place. They have played in 10 seasons. In those ten seasons, the team reached the final in almost eight seasons. Even their record in finals has been underwhelming. In the 2010 and 2011 seasons, they won the title. So the Chennai Super Kings is the only team to defend their title in league history. In 2018 they won their third title. With the third title, they proved that the CSK team stands as the 2nd most successful IPL team.

First ball:

First maiden over:
Throughout their home game against MI, Manpreet Gony bowled CSK’s first maiden in the IPL in the 2nd over of the MI innings. Robin Uthappa failed to score a run on the pitch. The first shot, though, yielded four passes by leg byes. (2nd over – Inns No.2 vs MI in Chennai on April 23, 2008)
First 5-wicket haul and hat-trick:
During the inaugural season, which was the first 5-wicket haul for CSK in the IPL, Lakshmipathy Balaji took 5/24 in his four overs against Kings XI Punjab. He also made a hat-trick with Irfan Pathan, Piyush Chawla and VRV Singh wickets in the same series. (in Chennai on May 10, 2008)
First title:
For the first time in the 2008 season, CSK qualified to the final where they lost to Rajasthan Royals. (in Mumbai on June 1, 2008)
