The Sunrisers Hyderabad announced David Warner as the captain for the 13th edition of IPL. The Franchise declared the news on a social media platform. For the last two seasons, Kane Williamson led the Orange Army.

SRH announced the news on their official Twitter account, where David Warner expressed his happiness for leading the Sunrisers again. They also Twitted as “#OrangeArmy, our captain for #IPL2020 is @davidwarner31”.
The SRH team also posted a video of Warner in which he said, “For the coming IPL tournament, I am thrilled to be given the captaincy. I am thankful for this opportunity. I want to thank Kane Williamson and Bhuvneshwar Kumar for leading the season in the last couple of years.
Warner has been in a fantastic form since coming back from a one year ban in international cricket.
Warner Is 4th Top Run Scorer In IPL:
Warner has been a part of Sunrisers since 2014. He made an immediate impact in his first season of IPL with a strike rate of 140.80. He scored 528 runs in 14 matches. In this season, he got selected for captaincy.
Warner played in the four seasons of IPL, scored 562, 848, 642, and 692 runs in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019 respectively. With the help of 126 IPL games, he scored 4706 runs. He is fourth in the list of the tournament’s all-time run scorers. Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, and Rohit Sharma are the top three.
On April 1st, the SRH franchise will start their campaign under Warner’s leading at home against last season champions Mumbai Indian.
