During the 2nd T20 between Australia and Pakistan, Aussie ex-captain Steve Smith played an anchoring role for the side and scored a match-winning knock of 80 runs in just 51 balls which included 11 fours and a six.
At the 2nd T20 match at Manuka Oval in Canberra, Pakistan had posted a total of 150 runs with the loss of six wickets in the first innings. Australia’s openers Warner and Finch opened the innings on a high but were unable to make it big. Amir cleaned Warner, and Finch had to depart after a stunning catch from Babar Azam.
Then, Smith and Ben McDermott had a partnership of 58 runs in 41 balls, which kept the team in a commanding position. Imad Wasim trapped Ben on 21, and then Smith has reached his fifty in 36 balls.
Ashton Turner played a few dot balls at the end, and Smith completed his duty and stayed unbeaten on 80 take his side home.
