Indian Cricket player and one of the finest batting opener Rohit Sharma is currently at the second spot (behind Kohli) in the ODI rankings for batsmen. He was the highest run-getter in the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
Rohit Sharma is named as a man of the series for the Paytm trophy. India chased down 316 runs to win against the West Indies. His total score in this ODI season is 258 runs.
In second ODI he is the top scorer with 159 runs. He scored 63 runs on Sunday. Continuing his good run at the top of the scoreboard.
Rohit Sharma Broke 22-year-old record
He beats Sanath Jayasuriya‘s 22years old record for the most runs in a calendar year, by an opener over formats while skipper Virat Kohli reformed his marvelous status by finishing as the outstanding run-getter in 2019.

Rohit said post-match – “This is a great year that I have had, personally I really enjoyed the batting and there is no way of stopping. There is an existing year coming up. There will come challenges when India starts to travel next year. Even they would like to stay at the top of the Championship table.”
India’s next test series is in February with New Zealand.
