Rahmanullah Gurbaz Biography: Rahmanullah Gurbaz was born in Khost, Afghanistan on 28 November, 2001. Rahmanullah Gurbaz is right-hand opening batter and wicketkeeper who plays for Afghanistan in limited overs format. Rahmanullah Gurbaz is yet to make his Test debut for the national side. Rahmanullah Gurbaz is considered as one of the emerging star players of Afghanistan. Rahmanullah Gurbaz is the only Afghan batter to smash a century on the One Day International Debut. With an aggressive approach, Rahmanullah Gurbaz is termed as the suitable replacement for the former opener of Afghanistan Mohammad Shahzad who served as the opener for a long time.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz started off playing cricket at the age of 6-7 years. Gurbaz belongs to a middle-class family but very much respected in the village. His father was a principal of a school. Rahmanullah Gurbaz struggled in staring off practicing cricket as his family didn’t allow him to play. Gurbaz worked at a construction site to manage for the equipment for cricket. His village people were impressed with his skills and recommended his name to play at the local club. Gurbaz started practicing in the local club and few years later he was picked up in the squad of Khost Province and moved to Kabul.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz made his domestic career debut in a List-A match for Afghanistan A against Zimbabwe A in 2017 and impressed everyone on the
tour. In the same year, Rahmanullah Gurbaz made his T20 debut in a match in Shpageeza Cricket league while playing for Mis Ainak Knights. Rahmanullah Gurbaz also made his first-class debut while playing for Mis Ainak Region in 2018.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz was picked in the Under-19 squad of Afghanistan for the Under-19 World Cup in 2017.
