Corey Anderson Recalls MS Dhoni’s Show Against RCB From IPL 2018:
New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson said in a recent interview the former Indian captain MS Dhoni is one of the world’s strongest finishers and praised him.
Corey talked about a match that was held in 2018 between Royal Challengers Hyderabad(RCB) and Chennai Super Kings(CSK). Chennai Super Kings needed 45 runs in 18 balls to win the game but Dhon closed the match with the spare of four balls. Corey shared with a sports channel on Instagram Live regarding a match.
“I was about to drown myself in my coffee when you pronounced its (Dhoni’s) name. He’s one of the game’s Grands, one of the world’s greatest finishers. Really hard to bowl at him. At long on I had Virat Kohli, at long-off AB de Villiers. They were always coming in to ask what we are doing, what I was doing, what I would be doing, “Anderson was cited as saying to one of the television outlets in an Instagram Live post.
The Bowling To Someone Like Dhoni In The Death Overs Can Be A Daunting Task For Any Bowler:
“If you bowl here, he’ll strike you for a six,” but their words were like, “and if you bowl there, he’ll strike you for a six.” You can take the moment to subdue. You realize you’re not the first one, at some stage, he’s done it to any bowler in the country, “he said.
The 29-year-old added that bowling in the death overs to someone like MS Dhoni can be a daunting task for any bowler but it also helps them improve their game.
“This offers you a huge insight into bowling against other players until you bowl to those people. If you bowl to those bigger guys like Dhoni you build faith. It’s demoralizing at times, but it will make you a stronger cricketer, “concluded Corey.
