The matches are coming thick and fast in the MLC 2023. In little more than two weeks we will know the winner of the inaugural season of the MLC. Teams will try to keep up pace with the dynamic scheduling for the tournament. In match four of the first season of MCL 2023, San Francisco Unicorns will take on Seattle Orcas in the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas. It will be two games in two days for SFU and they will look to build some early momentum going into the crucial phase of the tournament.

SFU vs SEO – Forgotten names

Smit Patel was one of India’s U-19 stars in the successful 2012 World Cup campaign. He will be turning up as a domestic player for SFU in the MLC 2023. Patel will be keen to prove a point through this tournament. Corey Anderson, the former New Zealand allrounder was one of the most destructive players in limited-overs cricket. He will also feature as a domestic player. So will Liam Plunkett, the former England pacer who played a pivotal role in the side’s World Cup win in 2019.

Players like Shehan Jayasuriya, Andrew Tye, and Hayden Walsh from the SEO team will look to serve a reminder to the selectors. They will want to put in some good performances to catch the attention of the selectors. The tournament will serve as a solid relaunch pad for a few forgotten names in world cricket.

SFU vs SEO Players to watch out for

#1 Finn Allen – SFU

The New Zealand opener set alight the 2022 T20 World Cup tournament with a blitz in the opening game. But he did little of note in the rest of the games. Allen has been identified as one for the future. He will look to make a mark in the inaugural edition of the MLC.

#2 Shadab Khan – SFU

He was one of the MVPs of the 2022 T20 World Cup. Shadab Khan appeared to be the de facto leader of the side as Pakistan qualified for the finals. He has the ability to change the game with both the bat and the ball. In a tournament that is novel for everyone involved, Khan can be one of the biggest game changers in the tournament.

#3 Shimron Hetmyer – SEO

He continues to be one of the biggest names in the franchise circuit. But his national board keeps overlooking Shimron Hetmyer. His presence was dearly missed in the World Cup qualifiers. The left-hander will be keen to showcase his prowess in this tournament.

SFU vs SEO Match prediction

It looks like an evenly balanced battle. The challenge for SFU will be to play two games in back-to-back days. For this reason alone SEO might just have a slight edge over SFU in this game.
