Kapil Dev Wants Navdeep Saini To Play Against New Zealand

India’s Shocking Defeat

India after winning the matches of the T20I series successfully against New Zealand, the team led by Kohli suffered a surprising defeat in the first ODI against the black caps on Wednesday.

Shradul Thakur Giving Away Runs

Even after scoring a huge total run of 347 on the scoreboard. The Indian bowlers proved costly for their team as they failed to cut down the run flow of opponents. Among all, fast-bowler Shradul Thakur beat for 80 runs in his 9 overs. Giving away runs at an average of 8.89, he was the least economical.

After giving away such huge runs to the opponents, Thakur became the 1st Indian bowler to grant 80 runs or more in an ODI against New Zealand, despite bowling less than 10 overs. He has bowled in 6 innings out of 9 ODIs that he has played for India with the economy of more than 6.

Kapil Dev Suggestions

Kapil Dev who is the former world cup winning captain of India has a suggestion for current captain Virat Kohli. He said that he wants youngster Navdeep Saini should be included in the line-up.

A wicket-taking option is always a need for the team. And it is necessary to include Saini in the side not because India has lost the first ODI, but Saini has fast-bowling and wicket-taking qualities. So, he deserves a place.

Kapil Dev took Jasprit Bumrah as an example and said that Bumrah forces New Zealand to play his deliveries carefully because batsmen lose their wicket whenever they try to attack these bowlers.

According to Kapil Dev, team selection should not be based on liking or disliking but it should be totally based on the requirements of the team. And also which combination or pair will help you to win the games.
