The BCCI’s declaration today only covers to the first 15 days of the IPL, with the rest of the fixtures expected to be settled by the Indian cricket board when the Election Commission releases the dates for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Earlier, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal announced that the board will only release the schedule for the first 15 days of the competition because the dates are clashing with the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Dhumal stated that the timetable for the tournament’s latter stages will be announced in accordance with the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
