‘He Is Back’– BCCI Releases A Clip Of Virat Kohli’s Net-Session Before The First Test

It is now time for the World’s No. 1 Test team to take center-stage as they lock horns with Bangladesh in the first of the two five-day fixtures at the Holkar Stadium in Indore after having successfully won the three-match T20I series 2-1.

Regular captain Virat Kohli is back after resting for the just-concluded T20I series. On Wednesday, November 13, Kohli joined the rest of his teammates. The BCCI social media handle shared Virat’s video and his interesting net session on where everything just came out of the center of his bat. The Indian captain not only played a role as a batsman but also as the Test side’s manager.

Not a single day goes by when Virat Kohli is not on the cusp of smashing or setting a new record as far as his batting is concerned. Kohli has scored a record-breaking seventh double-ton in the last series against South Africa, and now, with the Bangladesh series, the Indian key batsman is preparing for more.

Virat Kohli eyeing a new Test feat

The Indian captain is on the verge of becoming Team India’s sixth-highest run-getter in Test cricket and also on the brink of overhauling former captain Sourav Ganguly’s aggregate in Test cricket.

Kohli, who scored 7066 Test runs at an average of 54.77 including 26 hundred and seven double hundreds, needs just 147 runs to overtake Ganguly, who retired after scoring 7212 runs in 113 Tests in 2008.

He scored a magnificent double-hundred against the Kane Willamson-led New Zealanders the last time Virat played a Test match at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. He and Ajinkya Rahane featured in a 300+ partnership in the match where India scored a 321-run victory over the Kiwis.

However, much to the dismay of the Bangladeshis, he also posted a double-hundred in their country the last time Virat Kohli played a Test match against them.

That was in Hyderabad. Going by his style, if he breaks the record of Ganguly in Indore itself, it should not come as a surprise. But even if he doesn’t, it’s going to be a moment of savoring if he can do that in the Pink Ball Test at Eden Gardens.
