An ECB release said it is a sign of solidarity and our team will definitely join the West Indies team and wear the same logo on their shirts while playing.

Joe Root Statement:

“It is very much necessary to show solidarity to the black people and to lift up much-required awareness around the subject of justice and equality. The England management and the players are united in this campaign and will utilize the international cricket platform to support the reason for eliminating racial discrimination wherever exists.”

“There should be similar chances and similar rights for all. We all hope that by taking this stance we are able to play our part in standing with them as a team and we also hope that by continuing this procedure of raising awareness we can move towards a better society in which your background and your skin color have no obstructions on your opportunities”.

“It is very much clear and simple, according to me there is no room for racism or any kind of discrimination”
